KIDSFISH for San Antonio Presbyterian Children's Home

The last weekend of summer was made especially memorable for a group of kids from the San Antonio Presbyterian Children's Home with a fishing trip hosted by SEA San Antonio.

The weekend began with dinner at a local Rockport restaurant.  Afterward, SEA hosted a Pack-A-Lunch party and spoke to the group about SEA's mission and conservation in general.

Saturday brought a great day of fishing as SEA volunteers set out with the kids in their private boats for a day on the water.  Prizes were awarded for most fish caught and for largest game fish, and all participants received a KidsFish t-shirt and participation medal.

CABELA'S KID'S DAY

On June 20th, Cabela's Buda hosted Kid's Day, a free event designed to promote the great outdoors to youth of all ages.

SEA San Antonio volunteers helped man stations at the event, which was a huge success.  Stations included a KidFish tank, Casting Competition, Face Painting, BB Gun Range, and so much more.  In addition, pie-eating contests were held throughout the day.

SEA San Antonio is proud to have participated in such a great event.

KIDSFISH FOR BOYSVILLE

On May 16th SEA San Antonio, together with NuStar Energy, hosted KidsFish for 50 children and youth from Boysville of San Antonio, Texas.

A tour of the Marine Development Center gave the group insight as to the work done by Texas Parks & Wildlife in the area of rearing and releasing both red drum
and spotted sea trout.

Lunch was prepared by volunteers from NuStar Energy, and then it was off to the rearing ponds for
catch and release fishing.
